Simply Amazing

Christmas this year was just that, Simply Amazing. Everyone was way too kind and gave way too much. I really appreciate everything that my loved ones have done for me over my lifetime and they continue to amaze me each and every year right around christmas. The gifts people gave were incredible and I can begin to thank you enough for everything. You know who you are. I'm very thankful for all of it, but what I'm even more thankful for is having people who care about me enough to share their time and love with me all throughout the year.

I really can't stress how much you all mean to me.
Thank you for EVERYTHING.

The Spirit

Last night, Christmas night, my cousin Chevis' husband Dan, my cousin Jessica and I went to see Frank Millers new movie "The Spirit". I believe this was his first movie that he directed, even though this wasn't one of his stories. But the movie itself was great. Dan, Jessica and I were all in agreement that it was very cool. Not knowing anything about the spirit comic series before the movie, I found that the story wasn't hard to follow. They covered a great deal of backstory and history of the characters throughout movie, although it didn't come off like "Batman Begins" where you see the whole coming of the hero. He has already been the hero for a while at the beginning of the movie.

I would say that this is a definite MUST see for any comic fans, Frank Miller fans, and just plain action fans. The style and feeling of the movie put it right up there with "Sin City", although I did like Sin City better, but only by a little.

YES you should see it

Yesterday, Michael, my mom and I went to see "Yes Man". Jim Carrey's latest installment in his cinematic career. I really enjoyed it a great deal more than I expected. Lets face it, the plot line was nothing new by any standards. Guy meets girl, they have a great time, she gets mad about something, he wins her back, and the end. But throughout this film I found myself laughing quite a bit. Lately, Jim Carrey's movies has been somewhat lacking, at least in my opinion. But with "Yes Man" he really brought it back. The classic Jim Carrey with his silly faces and hyper reactions.

Overall I'd say go check this out. Even if your not the HUGEST Jim Carrey fan. I think most people would find this movie amusing on many different levels.

damn you INTERNETZ!!!

Today was the unofficial "FIX THE INTERNET" day. My dad and I spent all day trying to fix that damn internet. It was working for the morning then all of the sudden.... *poop*

...

nothing...

...

After many phone calls, and no luck, we decided to get a router... AFTER I went and saw "Yes Man", which was actually very good.
So I finally ended up going to best buy and picked up the new Linksys Router. After some fumbling around until midnight, we finally got it up and running.

A full day without the internet.... kinda like living in 1994..... LAME!

Stay tuned for a movie review of "Yes Man"

it's happening... AGAIN!

It's been many a year since I've seen one of these in our living room. But we finally got one put up. Not too big, not too small. I like it. The best thing about it was probably walking into the house for the first time since it was put up and smelling the fresh pine. It really bring in the christmas cheer.

weekend at Stout

This past weekend I took a trip BACK to UW Stout to visit a few friends and support them during the senior projects show. Zac, my previous roommate, was in the Graphic Design show, and Joe, Zac's roommate this semester and a close friend of mine, was in the Multimedia Design show. Both had very cool projects along with a bunch of other people in the shows that I know from Stout.

My Dunny

Here is the latest dunny I was working on for my friend JJ. He was probably the first friend that I had that also collected these.

This is a custom 8" dunny. The theme goes with many of the dunnys I've been designing lately.

As of late

As of late, I have been undergoing a series of side projects... next to my non-existent job. Some of the side projects include:
1. Selling/shipping toys to people on the internet.
2. Working on the Baggan Pub website for my old high school friend Jeremy Bisek.
3. Designing an 8" dunny for my friend JJ's birthday. (which I just finished and will post pictures of tomorrow)
4. Doing my own website.
5. Working out a design for my cousin Chelsey's boyfriend's snowmobile.
6. FINDING WORK...
and recently added 7. airbrush some exhaust pipes and flames on a welding helmet for my friend Mike's friend.

aside from all of that I do nothing but sit around, watch movies, clean the house in sperts and sleep in...

I hear that there are openings at the Aldi up the street... maybe I'll apply for a manager position there... would be better than nothing I guess... almost talked michael into it today... :D
