UP

this shot not actually in the movie  :o

Amazing.... simply amazing.... Pixar, you've done it again.

in the words of Budd from "Kill Bill Vol. 2":
If you're gonna compare a Hanzo sword, you compare it to every other sword ever made... that wasn't made by Hattori Hanzo.
And the same goes for Pixar movies.

amazing story, amazing graphics, amazing 3D... just amazing.
if you are a HUMAN BEING, go see this movie.

pixar ftw

it WAS back...

Finally got to go see the latest Terminator installment, Terminator Salvation. Loved it. Every minute of it. I read a review that said it was action packed but was lacking soul... I could see where they were coming from but from MY point of view... which is what you're looking for if you're reading this... is that it was F*CKING AMAZING!

If you've seen a terminator movie and didn't shut it off or leave half way through it, you really should consider seeing this one. And see it while it's still on the big screen. Every movie is WAY better that way.

This movie was 100 times better than Terminator 3... and was the first one that actually took place on a different timeline, THE FUTURE. Christian Bale does a great job portraying John Connor... imo the best John Connor since the second one... but that one was kind of a little b*tch anyway so Bale was WAY cooler. The story was pretty legit and only had me asking a few things during and at the end of the movie.

I would highly advise anyone who likes terminator to go see it... but I already said that...

Star Trek Wars

http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1910892

watch the video... the new star trek is the exact same as star wars... lol

my Brute

A friend of mine got me hooked on this new online game called My Brute. all you do is type in the name of the character you want to create and it automatically starts to randomly generate a character. Although you can always use the button on the left to have another random one come up, and the button on the right to change the color scheme.

It's kind of a fighting game... but you don't get to control ANYTHING. All you do is click the "ARENA" button, choose a person you want to fight, and watch. You can't even choose where your stats go... they just automatically get put into certain places. Some characters have animals, just about all of them get weapons and they're almost all different. You get 6 fights your first day and 3 fights every day after that.

Right now I've created a hand full of characters. Once you've created a character you can put a password on it so no one else can control them. AND, if you make more than one character, you should probably write down the names because you have to search for them to find them again.

It's really a lot more simple than I am making it sound. If you want to try it out, you can click this link and create a character. It will put you as a pupil of my character and our characters will fight.

Angels and Demons

I ended up seeing this last night with my mom and friend Derek. We all thought it was pretty good. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who liked the first one. I actually thought I liked this one a little more. It was a bit easier for someone like me to understand. Hell, I read half the book with the first one and still didn't understand most of it.

my how time flys

So it's been almost a week since I've last posted. In that time I've seen Star Trek for a second time, watched a bunch of netflix movies, and saw the new Angels and Demons movie.

Derek came to town about 2 weeks ago and has been staying with Zac in Minneapolis. Zac went to the boundary waters for the weekend so Derek stayed with me Thursday and Friday night. He's heading back out today.

Some of the Netflix movies I've watched recently include:
bedtime stores - not adam sandler's best film but still worth seeing in my opinion.
monster camp - documentary about kids who LARP (Live Action Role Playing). - not as good as i'd hoped.
religulous - documentary about one guy trying to debunk religion. Worth checking out. It gets you thinking and it was actually pretty good.
the edge - Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin get stranded in the woods. VERY GOOD movie. Definitely check it out.
confessions of a superher - documentary about a few people who dress like superheroes and pose for pictures in front of one of Hollywood's biggest theaters. Bunch of pan handlers... pretty good tho.

Been thinking about Vancouver Film School more and more. Trying to decide if I should go and possibly leave minnesota for a career in the animation business. or if i should stay and look for work here. altho i HAVE been looking for work here and there's really not much.

Mother's Day

Completed 5k walk/race for the cure. We walked. Got it done in about one hour and five minutes with my mom on my arm. Gretchen, Jessica and my aunt Barb also joined in the walk, along with a bunch of my mom's coworkers.

Later, my mom, dad and I went to my grandma's where a bunch of our family was getting together for dinner and an all around good time. Lasagna is ALWAYS a good time. After the party began to wind down we started watching a documentary called Religulous... I highly recommend it. Very interesting and amusing. Two of my aunts, two uncles, my mom, grandma and cousin all enjoyed it.

Now I'm off to the city of Gotham to catch up on what's going down with the caped crusader.

George Takei is still alive...

just proving my point to tim...

Star Trek

If I had to some this movie up in one word it would be AMAZING. This is by far the best movie I've seen in a long time. There's not one thing I need to complain about because this prequel/rehashing of the original Star Trek was simply brilliant. The cast was phenomenal, the story was entertaining and the entire thing, all together was just plain FUN. The visual effects were also outstanding. There usually a spot in every movie where you'd say, "that looks so fake" or "that wouldn't really happen like that", but not this one.

I hope the movie makes trillions of dollars so we can see another one.

Don't walk, RUN to the theater and see it NOW.

Snick Snick Snickety Snick...

That's my sound for Wolverine's claws.

Just got back from seeing X-Men Origins: Wolverine and I must say it was as good, if not better, than I expected. Dan, Chevis and Jessica all agreed that it was very good. Packed theater and everything.

If you have the slightest inclination of going to see it, DO. It's worth the $5 we paid and probably the $7-$10 you'll pay.
