I'm Boring...

It's come to my attention, by an unnamed source, that my blog is officially BORING! I apologize for this. It's been a rough couple weeks including a couple 12+ hour days. But that's all behind me now that I have the week off.

My boss is in Las Vegas for the World of Concrete Trade Show. Where a lot of the work that Dan (co-worker) and I have worked on is hanging at the "Citadel" booth. I'll post pics when I get them. But as for this week, I've been spending it just relaxing and playing video games.

I took a couple trips to Dan's place in Minneapolis for some R&R with some Gaming thrown in. He lives really close to Zac and Ashley. Also very close to JJ.

Tomorrow is a new Dunny release so I'm planning on heading to Minneapolis tomorrow for hopefully another game day, followed by a dunny release and then a party at the CC Club for Ashley since it's her birthday.

It's also DANIEL ANTONIO PESO's Birthday today.

HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY DANIEL!!!!!

Chevis, Please show that to him... :)
ALSO, I called the little guy today, via his mother's phone, and one thing that I think he asked me was, "What do you have new at your house?"

Well these are about it... aside from a PS3 and some blu-rays...
There's a beer can to the right for a size comparison.

This is the newest recruit. He's a Heave Bramble.

In other news, Gretchen's parents were out of town and she doesn't like staying home alone so she spend the night here a couple nights, and one of those nights my dad said that he got up in the morning and heard some crazy cat noises. He said it sounded like a couple cats fighting or something. The next day I went out to check out the crime scene and this is what I found...
A bunch of clumped hair, no idea what it's from, cat or bunny.
And a big gnarly paw/scratch mark. Neighbors thing it's a bobcat or something. Idk, but that thing is as big as my hand.

After going to check out the crime scene I stopped by Michaels place to see his baby.
Conked right out. What a good baby.

I've also been working on a logo and seeing some movies. I'll post the logo once I finish it.

Gretchen's Haircut and a New Baby

Sorry for the really dark shot, but here's one from the hospital where we were visiting Michael and Chelsey with their new born baby girl, Elleana.

Gretchen's Haircut

And here's the happy family.

Looks a lot like both parents in my opinion.

Halloween

The night before Halloween we went to Matt and Laura's house for their Halloween party. Played a little beer pong and some Rock Band. Good stuff. I am a bit out of practice for Rock Band but my beer pong skills were up there.

I ended up talking gretchen into being Princess Bubblegum from Adventure time, to match my Finn costume.

Kari and Zach were the Green Monkeys from an old game show called "Legend of the Hidden Temple" from Nickelodeon. Good stuff. We all made our costumes ourselves.

This is what we were shooting for.
Finn the Human and Jake the Dog up front. Princess Bubblegum in the back left with Lady Rainicorn. And the Ice King in the back right, He's what I based one of my pumpkins on this year.

And that ends the group shots, we only took one.
Here's more of my costume, I wanted to take a bunch, just in case.

It was AMAZING! My grandma helped me make it. She did a lot of the harder sewing parts.

I actually did the majority of the backpack. Pretty much a circle pillow with handles.

I got my shirt from the ghetto store near my house, 7 Mile, and I got my shorts from Fleet Farm. Michael was giving me hell about the shorts, saying that they were the kind that his grandpa wears.

I made a little "Jake the Dog" out of clay.

Sup Jake?

*POOT*

And here's my compilation shot that I sent to their website.

Tonight we got around 30 trick or treaters. About average. I ran up to Robot Love tonight for the Halloween party. Checked out the awesome prints and a really cool animation flash thing they had projected on the wall. Fun stuff.

ALSO today I went on a COLD ASS ride with Tom. 48.67 miles. We stopped at the breadsmith for a snack... SO GOOD.

Duluth 2010

Every year Gretchen and her Parents go to Duluth right around my Birthday. They spend a weekend up there and they are usually kind enough to let me tag along. Here are a few pics from this years trip.

We stayed at "The Inn on Lake Superior". It's the one with the fires and the s'more station.

Ate at one of the usual places... Pizza Luce... SO AWESOME!

A candy shop that sells all the flavors of Jelly Belly Jellybeans INDIVIDUALLY! I got a bag with very cherry, pomegranate, raspberry, and strawberry jelly.... so awesome.

Ate at a little place called BrewHouse. Very awesome and AMAZING beer. Their turkey ruben (shaved turkey, coleslaw, swiss cheese and cranberries) was THE BEST! Awesome sweet potato fries as well.

Flying monkey... I shot it at gretchen a few dozen times...
This creepy muppet looking guy was fun to play with... I dubbed him the "Creepy King" and had a blast messing with gretchen and her dad for about 10 minutes... If you haven't ever played with a muppet, I strongly suggest you do. This one even had the stick attached to his hand so you could move it around.

Look at all the trout... and he wasn't even catching very many of them.

Best sign ever... Swim, but you gunna get MESSED UP! :)

WATERPARK and Such

Last weekend was Gretchen's Birthday... WOO HER! the big 23... Gettin' old... But for her birthday we went to dinner with her parents a few days earlier. But on the day of, we went out to eat at Osaka Seafood Steakhouse. My parents, Tammy and Dean, Gretchen and I all shared a sushi filled evening. Of course my dad and Dean didn't have any sushi, but they still had fun.

Everything at the restaurant was amazing... except the service. Don't get me wrong, I'd been there before and the service was amazing. But this time we had a girl that I can only hope was new... she also didn't speak much English... at least, I hope that was the case. Nothing REALLY bad happened, aside from putting in the orders a bit wrong. BUT SHE FIXED IT before they came out. She also didn't understand that we wanted Mochi Ice Cream for desert and brought us the regular scoops of ice cream, but once we explained to her, all was well.

They actually brought us a shush boat since we ordered so much. :)

And when we were done it was COMPLETELY EMPTY!
But SO good...

I guess when it's your birthday there, they bring you a large head to put on and a little gift basket.... They also have a really annoying, yet catchy, birthday song.

Here's what gretchen got in her gift bag... a cross.

And here's a picture of the picture they took of us...

After they took it, they brought it to gretchen for her to sign. after she signed it, they put it up on the wall entrance of the place. Pretty cool.

This all took place on Saturday... On SUNDAY, we went to the water park of america. Near the mall of america.

Gretchen, her friend Kari, HER boyfriend Zach and I went to the water park for some watery fun. And we had just that. Half a dozen trips around the lazy river spread out over the day. Down the water slides a dozen or so times. I even went on one of those things that makes a big wave and you jump into it with a boogie board and ride the wave. I did pretty good for my first time, the life guards who showed me how to do it were pretty impressed.

I went out, on my stomach, like you're supposed to, and I got used to that pretty quick, after about a minute or so of that I figured I better do something or everyone else who was waiting was going to get impatient. So I decided to try what a couple guys in front of me were doing... Going up on your knees.

Believe me it was harder than it looked. Had to get my arms all extended and hold myself up before doing a slight jump to get my knees on the board... but once i was there i was a natural. This was all my first time by the way.

Many people would go out, and fall off and get shot back behind the wave... Like Gretchen. But they gave her a couple tries before she decided to give up. I guess she just wasn't heavy enough to keep stable on the wave.

ANYWAY... After the water park we went looking for the restaurant that we see every time we go to the mall of america... Billabong. But i guess they closed down, so we had to settle for a different little sports bar that ended up being AMAZING! I got the Asian Chicken Sandwich... so good.

Aside from the birthday thing... I ended up posting a bunch of my grandma Connie's things she's trying to get rid of on craigslist. One guy came by to purchase a bunch of old sprinkler heads. When I asked him if he was putting in a sprinkler system he said, "No, I make jewelry." So I looked up his stuff and it seems pretty cool.

Here's a few things he made... and HERE's the site where he sells them.

Pretty cool I thought.

Sorry this is getting so LONG... so i'll keep this short...

I Just got back from seeing "The A-Team", and as corny as it seemed... I thought it was pretty awesome. Fun to watch. A lot better than I thought it was going to be, even with the guy who played Mr. T's character and his dialogue. It was also super funny. And if you do see it, stay after the credits. Funny Funny.

My Garden is also looking great, apart from a few weeds. But the Lettuce needs to be harvested... If anyone want's some mixed lettuce, please let me know. It's AWESOME.

OH YEAH, and my old roommate Zac got engaged... !!!!!! so we're going out to dinner to celebrate with him now...

More soon. And again, I'll try to shorten the time between posts.

But that's enough for now.

Good Night Tonight

Tonight Gretchen came over and we made turkey sloppy joes... SO AWESOME. I really love sloppy joes.
And if that weren't enough, Gretchen also made us a couple of Vikings tie dye shirts.

Very cool. I know Tom will be jealous.

Also, to finish off the night, a couple of friends and I (Dan and Bryan) played Left 4 Dead 2 for a few hours.

It will be hard to top this night... but I'm sure thanksgiving will have a shot at it. Especially since we'll be kicking it at Chevis and Dan's place with their family.
FUN!

Camping FTW!

Just got back and showered up... next thing on my list, BLOG!

Went caping with Gretchen, her parents, and her niece Samantha. Had such an awesome time that we stayed another night... I kinda changed my mind RIGHT as we were leaving yesterday... but we stayed.

We were located at the Sibley State Park in New London. Did quite a bit of fishing. Really only caught some HUGE sunnies on Diamond Lake with Gretchen's uncle Bruce. Fished a bit on the lake we caped on and were not successful at all.

Did some water skiing, some Kayaking, some swimming in the middle of the lake, pretty much all the good stuff. We also ate LOADS of amazing meals, not sure what was my favorite but probably the breakfast burritos I had a couple of mornings.

Did a fair amount of sketching for the next 5 second project: Summer in Space. And also did some reading in one of my newer animation books.

Alas, I had no camera, aside from my iPhone, so I was unable to take decent pictures.

Now off to catch up on the 30+ emails and 60+ blog posts I've missed.... NOT to mention the tweets.... well... off I go...
