I'm Boring...

It's come to my attention, by an unnamed source, that my blog is officially BORING! I apologize for this. It's been a rough couple weeks including a couple 12+ hour days. But that's all behind me now that I have the week off.

My boss is in Las Vegas for the World of Concrete Trade Show. Where a lot of the work that Dan (co-worker) and I have worked on is hanging at the "Citadel" booth. I'll post pics when I get them. But as for this week, I've been spending it just relaxing and playing video games.

I took a couple trips to Dan's place in Minneapolis for some R&R with some Gaming thrown in. He lives really close to Zac and Ashley. Also very close to JJ.

Tomorrow is a new Dunny release so I'm planning on heading to Minneapolis tomorrow for hopefully another game day, followed by a dunny release and then a party at the CC Club for Ashley since it's her birthday.

It's also DANIEL ANTONIO PESO's Birthday today.

HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY DANIEL!!!!!

Chevis, Please show that to him... :)
ALSO, I called the little guy today, via his mother's phone, and one thing that I think he asked me was, "What do you have new at your house?"

Well these are about it... aside from a PS3 and some blu-rays...
There's a beer can to the right for a size comparison.

This is the newest recruit. He's a Heave Bramble.

In other news, Gretchen's parents were out of town and she doesn't like staying home alone so she spend the night here a couple nights, and one of those nights my dad said that he got up in the morning and heard some crazy cat noises. He said it sounded like a couple cats fighting or something. The next day I went out to check out the crime scene and this is what I found...
A bunch of clumped hair, no idea what it's from, cat or bunny.
And a big gnarly paw/scratch mark. Neighbors thing it's a bobcat or something. Idk, but that thing is as big as my hand.

After going to check out the crime scene I stopped by Michaels place to see his baby.
Conked right out. What a good baby.

I've also been working on a logo and seeing some movies. I'll post the logo once I finish it.

Vikings Game

WE WENT TO THE VIKINGS GAME! Gretchen was going to go, but didn't. Tom was going to come, but couldn't (snow). But we still made it out... and just for the game, I made this little number...
With Gretchen's supervision of course, but I did all of the sewing myself. Turned out nice.

The trip to the game started off with the voyage to Chevis and Dan's neighborhood. I ended up just meeting them at Dan's school. We probably took off from there about 3:15 or 3:30 and we didn't get to the park and ride until after 6pm... I think... It was crazy. Traffic was SO SLOW!

But we made it. And we sat outside in the cold to cheer on the vikings... and dan, his sister and her boyfriend cheered the bears.... :/

This was our posse. from left to right, not including me... there's Dan, Brian (Ana's Boyfriend), Ana (Dan's sister), and Chevis.

This was the first time I had met Brian... REALLY cool guy. He's a pilot and we asked him a ton of questions about flying and protocol and why we can't use cell phones on planes... it was great.

Here is the controversial football team couple. Dan, Ana and Brian all cheered the bears while Chevis and I rooted for the Vikings. There were even rowdy, drunk vikings fans that were giving Dan crap about the bears... but he's the best sport about it and he wasn't afraid to give it back as soon as the scores tipped in his favor... and then fell off the board in his favor... maybe next year... :(

Anyway, it was amazing. BEST Vikings game I've ever been to... Only Vikings game I've ever been to... But still great, even though we lost. I couldn't have had a better group of people to go to my first game with. If only Gretchen would have been there, then it would have been complete. But regardless, it was still amazing.

When the Vikings got a touchdown, people threw snow in the air... so awesome

A guy ran onto the field and then was escorted off by the POlice.

and Chevis was getting her groove on... it was good.

I think this may be a yearly thing from now on... Vikings vs Bears home games... we'll be there!

Today, but Yesterday TOO!

Went biking today... With Tom... To the Edina Art Fair. 32.7 miles...

But before I get into TODAY, let me tell you about yesterday. A bunny... a BABY bunny... in my garage when I went out to look at my garden.

Cutest little thing EVER.

I opened the garage, it ran farther in. Scared it back toward the door, it would make a huge round turn and dart back into the corner.... I guess it didn't want to leave. But It finally went under my Gun Safe in, which wasn't too smart since there's only one way out of there, the front, and we (Michael and me) scared it out the big door. Michael started reaching under the safe with a glove on trying to catch it and it ran toward the door, where I was waiting and then scared it outside... Pain in the ass... probably should have kept it... could have named him STEVE.

Well after that, I sold toys on line until close to 2pm or 3pm when Michael and I went to Barb and Tim's house to catch some coy fish out of the pond in the back yard and help Grandma and Jessica move some furniture into the house. After we caught our fill of fish that we weren't going to eat, we headed home. All of them, surprisingly, made the trip home alive.

But now... back to TODAY.
The Art Fair was pretty cool. We met Chevis, Cedra and Daniel there and walked around for a while.

I guess Daniel has this new thing where he says "HI" to EVERYONE... and I'm talking EVERYONE. If you're in his line of sight, he'll say "hi" repeatedly until you are no longer in view. It was pretty awesome. I tried to tell him that I only say "hi" to people who make eye contact with me... but I don't think he cared. "HI, HI, HI, HI!"

I ended up leaving Tom, Chevis and the kids and started my bike ride home. Had to make it back before the post office closed. I've been selling Dunnys/Toys like Hotcakes on line and need to get them out of my living room asap.

If anyone is interested in taking a look at what I've got, you can see the images HERE. and for anyone who reads this, I'll give you and EXTRA good price on things :)

Califronia!

Today we hopped 2 planes, and set foot in three states to get to California (I'm including MN and CA). But we made it safe and sound.

The first plane ride was good, 3.5 or so hours. My dad at the window, my mom in the middle and me in the aisle. Pretty roomy as well. My only real beef was that this lady with WAY too much perfume, that I actually pointed out in the airport, sat RIGHT in front of me and draped her smelly coat right over her seat (the one with MY tray table on it).

Now, before you think it's not THAT bad, you have to realize that yesterday I was basically knocked on my ass by this crazy cold I had. Runny nose, teary eyes... I literally had to have tissue shoved up my nose to get any relief. For those of you who saw me at Chevis and Dan's house yesterday... YOU know... it was bad.

So I was just getting over that today, felling pretty good, and this smelly lady drops down in front of me. I was afraid it was all going to come back. Luckily my nose and eyes didn't get hit too hard from it. Although I did switch to the middle seat when my mom went to the bathroom.

Here's a shot I took while on the plane.
I don't know what it is but I just love taking pictures of the view with the wing in it. It really says it all. the first flight's view wasn't NEARLY as nice as the second flight. The geological features of these places is amazing compared to flat ol' Minnesota.

...

THIS JUST IN.
Earlier today my oh so cool cousin Chevis text me that they were eating next to JARED ALLEN the Minnesota Vikings ALL STAR Defensive Player!!!!
They got a picture with him and he even said Happy birthday to Daniel, who's birthday is on the 19th.

She sent me the picture and gave me permission to to post it, so here it is!
The best part is that she's wearing her Vikings Gear.
GO CHEVIS!
GO DANIEL!
GO JARED ALLEN!
and GO VIKINGS! (with a win over the Cowboys 34 to 3... not really a win, more of a SLAUGHTERING!)

anyway, off to dinner. More updates to come!

Biking and Toys

Today was another bike ride with my uncle Tom Hanson. We biked to Shorewood near Minnetonka, to my cousin's house (Chevis, Dan, Daniel and to be determined ). After hanging out with them for a bit we decided to head back home.

At the end of the entire ride, my computer read 50.08 miles for todays ride. It was pretty good. And I'm actually getting used to riding right around 50 miles now. When I first went for a ride with Tom, 30 miles and I was beat. After the first ride, 40 miles and I was beat. we went 45 the second and it was getting a bit cold for me but I felt I could go farther. The next, 58 miles and I was getting pretty beat around the 50 mile mark.

NOW, 50 miles and I could probably STILL rock and roll. I usually bring a bar or something to eat about 30 miles in, and that probably helps. But I'm thinking I'm about ready to go for a 50 or so mile bike ride with nothing but breakfast under my belt.

ALSO, I stopped by Robot Love today and picked up a couple of things I've been looking forward to.

Teddy Trooper "Le Mans" by Flying Fortress:

and Dragon Boy by Sam Flores

Both amazing pieces and I've been waiting a while for.

Chevis

Chevis is the name of my amazing cousin. She's the coolest and has the most unique name. She's the wife of an amazing guy named Dan and the mother of an amazing boy named Daniel.

She's the one on the far right if you haven't guessed.

This post is dedicated to Chevis because she is a self proclaimed 'Closet Reader or Jared's Blog'.

Chevis, Have a Great Day!
